Loaded "VIA hardware monitor sys Version 2.04"
onto my new KT7A. Can't figure out what "CPU
hysteresis temp and "system hysteresis temp
are for. Can someone please explain it to me?

Thanks, Dennis

Duron 600 @ 1000MHz (sofar)

That must be it's "nervous" temp. According to websters...
hysteria: A nervous affection characterized by emotional excitement and lack of control, especially in fits of alternate laughing and crying. Must mean your cpu laughs at you when you underclock it and cries with the overclock. !!! Does it ever suddenly reboot for no reason ?!?

Nope, never reboots by itself.
The hystersis parameters are included with the CPU and SYS temps on the VIA HWM page
after you load it from the Abit CD-ROM
disc.Just can't figure out what there for.
No mention of them in the manual.
Thanks, for the definition though.
