It says 20a for the +3.3v, 40a for the +5v, 16a for the + 12v, .3a for the -5v, .5a for the -12v, 1.0a for the +5vsb, total 500w. it also has a dual cooling fan

Comparing your figures to the ones for my 430w they seam about the same except for the 3.3v which i have as 35a.

jdmcnudgent, i find that some times of day it takes longer to get answers. Hang on in there and people will answer your questions.

i dont really know about the power supply, but good luck getting any answers around here. i posted a few threads asking questions, and have yet to get any resopnses. here andhere

I don't care for your tone, and noticed that both posts have been replied to. There was a just an article on the front page about power supplies....with lots of different voltage/ampere ratings. Maybe first you should look for the information before coming here to make us find it for you.

My 2c.

P.S. I just ordered two 350w Enermax's.....can't wait till they come in.

thats nice that you dont care for my tone.:D when you looked at my threads and saw that they were replied to it was probablly after i posted in this section. i read the sticky at the top of the forum, BUT, what does that have to do with MY problem, that i currently have, and needing some advice and wondering what kind of power supplys everyone has. you gave your opinion on my tone, but i didnt see your opinion about my problem, thanks alot. the purpose of this forum is when someone has a problem, they ask for help and hopefully receive it. and, i did not have any responses to those threads until i put them here in this section.

The blinders on your eyes prohibited you from seeing my answer.

I am expecting two 350w Enermax's on my doorstep tomorrow. I have a cheap 300 right now that isn't worth the tin it's packaged in.

Okay, I have a CD-RW drive, a 52x CD-ROM, two 30Gb 7200rpm Hard drives, floppy, fan on agp card, fan on chipset, 8 case fans, 3" fan on processor heatsink, 4 USB devices.

I don't need 500w. my little 300 does fine....it's just not as consistent as it should be. I'd be suprised if you need 500w. I guess if the price is right....it's up to you. Buy cheap, buy again.

Maybe if you're running a server, a boatload of HDs or extras or a small pelt you'll need a 500W PS, but otherwise 350W or 400W will serve you well. Just make sure to get a good brand. It's cheaper to buy an expensive PS than to buy a POS and an expensive one.
