I decided to convert to liquid cooling...

Hey Met...
Same decision here...keke. H20 will cool our 1.2GHz CPU way better than any of those HSF.
I got my water cooling system completed just today..
I'm just doing a test run before installing other system components.
It seems to run flawlessly so far. I'll keep it running until tomorrow (24hrs) and if there's no leak, I'll install my other parts into that new full tower case.
Here's my water cooling spec:

Dangerden a-MAZE-ing 2 waterblock (New one with better surface area)
Dangerden Cooling Cube radiator
with Panaflo 120mm 108cfm fan attatched with 25ohm rheostat to control the fan speed.
Eheim 1046 80GPH in-line pump
Inwin Q500 full tower case (modified with additional 1 x 120mm, 2 x 92mm, 1 x 80mm fans for full air circulation)

I'll post the results as soon as I install the other parts in tomorrow.

See, now I feel stupid, cause I bought that hedgehog, and that bastard is heavy, not only that, i'm running warm, around 110F. So, I am going to use part of my check this week, and some of my tax return, and invest in a liquid cooling system. I'll use the hedgehog to cool a peltier on the outside or something...(homemade chiller...heehee) Or just sell it for 25 bucks...WITHOUT the fan mind you...i'm keepin that *****... ;D It would make a good blow hole fan...

Damn Metaxas, even though Jeff and I predicted this, it took a lot less time than I expected. I would love to see how you are going to fit all of this in that fancy PC60! I would like to try this that trick myself. The vendor you chose has some very interesting gear. Your experience with it will be viewed with much interest.

BTW, did you get your new stick of DDR or is Tom Hanks playing with it on some deserted Pacific island?

Colin

I think that it could be on that island being used as a masterbatory aide. ;D It needs to hurry its slow *** up...heehee... :)

I just finally completed setting up my watercooled system, using an overclock-watercool allcopper block on a 1Ghz TBird. Just at ambient temps, went from 35C with a GlobalWin FOP32 to 19C. Glad I finally did it. One more thought. The retention clamp from DangerDen is the best I have come across so far.

In the interests of space, I have decided to run the reservoir and pump, and radaitor external to the case. I plan on putting more drives in there, and I don't want to jam up my case with watercooling stuff. So, the pump that I got with the package, is a kick arse type thing, 46' of lift, all that crap. I'm getting into some uncharted territorys for my ***, this is exiciting...I just hope I don't f*ck anything up...heehee, going to test the system for 24 hours before installing everything..hope it works... ;D

Cool! Looking forward to reading about your adventures!

Heh, yeah, well, it really depends on when everything gets here, not only that, I am going to run it for 24 - 36 hours outside of the case, to make sure nothing is leaking. Now in the beginning, it will just be hitting room temp, and hell, I should get a decent overclock out of that. The Palamino cores (new architecure) now, thats where supercooling is going to come back into style real quick. (IF...and that is a BIG IF...AMD doesn't lock us out of core functions (i.e. multiplier adjustments, [or make it easy to disable the lock out] or something like that, I think after some minor software and bios glitches get worked out, we are going to see some bitchin numbers coming off those. But I wonder, ok, NO board goes over a 12.5x multiplier right? Well, I wonder if they can solve that problem by having an internal multplier? Example, the chip will have an INTERNAL multiplier of 2.75x, then multiplied by the EXTERNAL multiplier, lets say 8x, then that is multiplied by 133Mhz x 2 = Whatever. (DDR remember) Theoretically, the board shouldn't know any different, since that change would be internal to the core itself, as is the partial 64bit stuff right? Anyways, i'll stop rambling now. :)

Hi there, I also have a Lian-Li PC 60 and my 1200 tbird runs hot like it comes right out of hell, hehe.

I will order my H2O setup tomorrow though I will get most of my equipment from DangerDen, his new MAZE2 waterblock looks like the real thing.

Where do you want to place your radiator/pump/(reservoir?) ?
I'll place the radiator behind my 2 x 80mm exhaust fans and an inline waterpump will be mounted on the mobotray where you can see the 40mm fan openings ... well, at least that's what I have in mind should I be able to fit everything there ... and no reservoir, my case is loaded.

Got any other mods so far on your Lian-Li PC 60 ?
I'll show you my current case if ya don't mind ;)

I got 9 drives in my case (incl. floppy) and definetly no space at all left INSIDE it :D

So, you already have a waterpump, which one ? Is it inline or submersed only ? Can you give me rough measurments when it is inline capable ?
Oh yeah, will you also use a peltier (like 156W) with your setup ? I might do that though I would need a stronger psu, like the EnerMax 651 since I want to keep EVERYTHING in my lil case.

I hope ya don't mind that I made my first post here so extensive.

Watercooling components will be ordered this friday (tomorrow), I hope I have watercooling running the week following the next.

Monza,

Did you build that case? Or did you buy it? It looks really good. I prefer my water cooling system but if i could squeeze it into your case then I would be lan party happy hehhe :)
