Long but very in-depth and insightful, worth the watch

"Dragon Age: The Veilguard is a collosal disappointment. It apes the most superficial elements of a Bioware game, making no effort to modernize what is a now fairly dated formula, while delivering absolutely none of writing, characterization, rpg depth and imagination that made previous Bioware games so great."

Looks like the biggest complaints that I've read is that the writing is just mediocre and bioware haven't evolved their 'choice' methods in 20 years

Pretty much, I never really cared about Dragon Age in the 1st place, but as the guy says in the video, if this is the best BioWare can do, I shudder to think what's happening to the new Mass Effect in development (if it ever comes out)...

Claim of manipulation of launch reviewer selections to get better average scores. I don't follow this guy but his videos pop up in my feed now and then.

Oddly enough, seems to be very well coded

"Dragon Age: The Veilguard - Simply Brilliant On PC - DF Tech Review - We've spent months - years, even - demanding more from PC versions of multi-platform titles. And would you believe it? It's BioWare that has stepped up to deliver a performant, scalable, stutter-free PC experience. Alex has the DF tech review for Dragon Age: The Veilguard, including the requisite console comparisons and optimised settings."

I was about to say... This game got some amazingly high review scores from IGN and other places... So this one was surprising.

Not that I'd entertain another RPG anyway until I finish BG3.

That said... Dragon's Dogma II is on sale... right now... on Steam.
