I was on vacation too. No excuse. Now I understand why my Dad used to call me on Monday while I was at work "just to talk". I'd tell him that I'm at work and ask if everything was okay and could I call him back. He'd ask why I'm working on Sunday and I'd have to tell him that it's Monday.

That will be me when I retire. I completely lost track of the days over my two weeks off.

Anyway. My apologies to any whom may have had a milestone that is getting missed. If you hit a milestone, I invite you to post below.

Enjoy the phone calls while they still come, I still catch myself reaching for my phone and clicking on my dads phone number then it sinks in all over again. On a happier note I hit a billion and some other people did some other stuff I'm sure lol.

Unfortunately, my dad did not make it to 52 (oral cancer). I was only 18 when he died. I never got to know him as an adult.
He got married and went to war in 1942. Came back in 1946 to a son that had been born in 1943.
That was a recipe for a family mess.

That's rough. I know it's been awhile, but sorry about your dad.
