i found this setting in my bios

it said system acceleration, it was disabled. so i enabled it... what is it and does it make my system faster?
 
I'm not familar with your board but you could use a program like SiSoft Sandra, http://www.sisoftware.demon.co.uk/sandra/ to run tests on your memory and processor, drives, etc. before and after enabling the feature to see if there is a real difference.

Sandra is a really fun program to play around with and it gives you a lot of interesting, usable information about the components of your box. Good Luck!

i got sandra and i actually noticed my scoes went up quite a bit from last time i checked... didint even think about that i turned on the option.... guess its a new feature in the asus a7a266 bios......
bye the way the new asus a7a266 bios will be out shortly its in its final test stages.... supposed to increase overall speed by like 6% i hear and it will be able to run the new palaminos..... which is good....
