Not old enough Dave :(
But I will have a few sodas :toast:

What would be a good way to install it on all of the rest of the computers... They are on a novel network. I have seen some of the net installer's but I do not want to install it on every single networked PC, just the ones in the PC Labs (e.g. not the teacher's computers, I will have to ask them individually).

Any help would be appreciated

The network installer that I started, Dark_15 worked on, and then was finished up by Helsyeah, will allow you to choose which computers you install the FAH client on.

It will give you a list of all machines on the network and then you pick from the list by deleting the ones you don't want (the list is in a .txt file).

Great job, keep it up. :D

Congrat's now if someone would just borg the CNN building or something hell maybe cbs and abc :D

so i hear [H] is getting a new rather large borg, this means that this borg will only be "keeping" up with them,....we need more like it so that we can pull ahead of them with a borg like this...dang [H]orde :(

CONGRADS !!!

Heres a link to the most recent network installer ive worked on, in case you havnt found it yet. If you run into any huge snags with the network installer let me know. Just read the readme and you should be good to go.

I'm not part of the IT crew, however I have made friends with them by talking computers every once and a while....

Oh YeAh --- The computers that are folding and have finished are having trouble sending in their work units, I had to edit the config so that it used port 80 b/c otherwise it wouldn't pick up WUs... Any suggestions?

Nice work. Not to rain on the parade, but shouldn't you be putting out quite a few more points than you are? Are these machines 5x8 or 24x7 ?

Most of them are 24x7 but some of the more powerful ones are 5x10 :( EDIT: or 10x5:EDIT

You can set them to use IE settings or a proxy if needed. This is done during the configuration of each client.

I just used Wedo's one click (with my name replacing his of course) so I didn't configure the client much more after the Single CPU with advmethods, do I need to do something else? The IT lady looked up the log for one of the computer's that was not able to send and saw that the school's server was dropping packets (even though I could go to the FAH server through IE or Firefox, which now makes me think that I may need to use IE settings) that were trying to go to stanford as well as other things unknown (no spyware or hijacker, we checked for that too)... Hmmmm.... So many borgs, So little Bandwidth...
