The Best Combo is the Celeron1.1A for 80$ and the Abit ST6 for 80$ for 160$ that combo will probably get you up to 1.5GHZ rock stable with a 15-20$ heatsink....

WELCOME TO THE FORUMS:p

PS: If you want a little higher end board the Shuttle and Gigabyte P4 boards are great for price/performance (60-80$) and a P41.6A will oc to like 2.4-2.5GHZ (180$)

I agree w/ funnyperson1...the 1.1a and an ST6 will put you where you want to be. I got my Abit VH6T for a little cheaper than the ST6, so if money's real tight (like it was for me), that would be my second option...

and welcome to the forums!

For motherboards, newegg.com, mwave.com (multiwave), directron.com, or pui.com (power up) are all reputable online retails that I've done business with before that generally have good prices.
