hi all, im not sure which is better amd or intell. but i have made my mind up to build me a amd computer after checking out intell stuff. i have an idea what i want to get but i want some opions bout motherboards and cpus, like whats the best cpu to overclock and to get the best performance. i need to get an idea bout what to buy cause i only have bout 200.oo total to spend on motherboard and cpu. im looking for mobo that will support sdram and ddr sdram. i dont want to go to sdram yet but want the ability to upgrade later.thanks

ECS K7S5A mobo runs around 55$

both for less than 200$ 1600's overclock great and the 1700
is only about 10 dollars more.

You could get the K7S5A and then get the bios that gives you some overclocking options.

Get the ECS K7S5A mobo w/ a AMD XP 1700+.
That's what I have. You'll have some money left over for your other parts.
Just flashed your bios w/ the o/c bios.
System runs very stable.
