my sysems not O'Cd at the moment and after about 1-3 hours cruising and downloading on the net my whole system locks up,
kt7a raid,hercules mx400 prophet ,256 micron and 128 mushkin all 133mhz, axia 1.2 "c" ,sb live ,quantum 30 ,global win wbk38, etc
4 way interleave is set and running at cas 3 with all options set to turbo, tried slower but still same, any ideas? thanks

yes ,as all my components have been swapped replaced with new ones as i was having alot of corupted files etc,i was fully reformatting my system 2 times a day for 2 weeks trying to get it to run properly while fault finding, btw im using win 98se [ im into games too man!] thanks

What do your IRQs look like? Check out Sandra readings and see if that SB Live is hogging IRQs; I had similar problems until I disabled the sB 16 emulation and freed up IRQs.

Disable the interleaving, I ran it on my older 600 Athlon and that thing would do all kinds of strange things. Once I shut it off all was well. Give it a shot and see, if anything try 2 way. Good luck.

ok how do i do that, and how do i know if ive got 1 of those versions of bios?all i know is i have 6.00pg . also where can i set clk to optimum? the only place i found in the bios was in SOFT MENU III SETUP/DRAM CLOCK/host clk , and there arent any options ,just enable or disable.
thanks and please let me know ..........................

more than likely you have the ww version in bios if you dont see the kt7 clk option dont be like me i installed the latest bios went from the ww to the zt i had this puppy stable [email protected] and now i cant get past 1.474 without freezing up i even reformatted my disk and reinstalled windows hoping it was a windows registry problem no luck the ww version is way better for overclocking than the zt version.!
