I am planning to purchase the XP 2500+ with 333Mhz fsb. I am wanting to buy (1) 512 ddr ram. Should I buy the PC2700 because of the 333Mhz fsb or should I buy the PC400? What be be the advantage over the other if any? I have purchased the NF7-S ver2.0 if this helps. Basiclly, I'm asking should the Mhz on my ram be the same or more than my CPU fsb?

Depends on how much you want to OC...the PC3200 will give tighter memory settings then the PC2700...

If you do not intend to O/C , then the pc 2700 will be suffecient; however, since you are getting a quality chip and a first class M/B , I would recommend the pc3200 for future o/c or higher fsb chip. ie. 400 mhz chip. I forget where I read it, but quality 2700 atually outperforms the pc 3200 memory at stock 333 mhz. The advantage of pc 3200 is of course its 400 mhz rating and tighter memory settings as glock19owmer states.

ok i'll try pc 400 but are there any cheaper brands with good timmings other than Mushkin? That brand is expensive!!!
