I prefer redhat 7.2 over mandrake but mandrake's way of setting up my network for dhcp is much easier and i just cant figure out how to do it in RH, can someone give me step-by-step detail on how i would go about this?

i have:
SIS 900 fast ethernet
Linksys BEFSR41V.2 Etherfast Router configured for dhcp

is your network card installed ? if so, then in redhat log in as root and use the csh shell and issue this command : netconfig ... you'll see it's step by step process to setup either a static or dhcp ip addr.
