Ok, Today I installed my new Swiftech MC371-3. I followed the directions perfectly and now when I turn on the puter it just beeps at me. I tested the CPU in another comp and it works and every once in a while it will come on in my comp but only after playing around with it for a while. My current system is.
CUSL2
PIII800/MC371-3
256MB Mushkin high perf REV 2
IBM 30GB
ASUS v7700

How many times have I done something to a computer and had something completely different go wrong?

Pull your cards out. Put them back. Pull your memory out, put that back. Pull your cables out. Put them back.

Actually, if nothing is happening except the beeping, it could really be the memory isn't seated properly.

You can always get to the baseline of just an old PCI video card and memory and cpu/sink/fan. If that works, start connecting everything one at a time.

If you had a Tbird or Duron I would consider that you fried it somehow, but the PIIIs don't seem to burn up that quickly. Good luck. Oh, reset the bios?
