I might get some money soon, so I'm gonna get a new cooler. So the big question: Witch one!
I've been thinking about the Taisol CGK742 or the FOP 38 WBK. I don't care about noise, I care about the price.
So what du u think?
Is there some other cooler that's better than these two, compared to price/performance?
All input's will be very appreciated.
Thanks

I think everyone here will agree...In a week, you'll care about the noise. Then you'll wish you had mad a better decision on what you bought. I would recommend any of the copper base/aluminum fin heatsinks out. Plus you can usually get a fan already installed on them that has great performance without having too many db's of noise from your case. Try this link: http://www.nerdsbyte.com

With all the new H/F out there choosing can be difficult. If price matters I recomend the Fop 38, and like Klark said in time the noise may bother you. A nice thing with the GW is that you can change to an 80mm fan later on and don't even need a fan adapter. This makes it flexible and a good value to. I have a Fop38 and I now only use it for testing purposes I can't stand the noise from that jet engine but on the other hand I made a system for my brother last sunner with a Fop 38 and so far he loves it, acctually likes the noise! So I guess to each his own.

bah. you wont necesarrily care abotu the noise. i use the delta fan, and my pc sits about 4 feet from where my head is when i sleep. doesnt bug me at all. however i also have a ystech 120mm fan to drown it out with heh heh :)

some ppl dont care about the noise, some ppl do. some ppl are used to quiet environments, some noisy. some ppl like silent pc's, other ppl like their pc's sounding like they got some balls

the delta performs damn good and was well worth the cost of 'noise' for me

and no i'm not deaf either :p

Walter - The ThermoEngine (with the Delta 38CFM fan) has been showing good test results. Thermosonic says that it performs better with the high wattage CPU's.
Thanks
