My "MegaRig" build will soon (finally) be going into development! I just ordered my parts from ZipZoomFly on the FedEx 2 day thing, so we will see how long it takes for them to arrive.
I got some $$ for Christmas, and so I thought it would be a good opportunity to get started on my new rig. I already have the MoBo - it's been sitting there in the spare room waiting for a few certain pieces of hardware in order to get POSTed. I bought the board a while back, when I was getting some parts for the other "little rig" build I made that was supposed to be a gift (until I found out the recipient didn't really want it).
I am going to be using my Antec case, and for the time being, I am going to use my existing HDD until some later point when I will add 1 or 2 SATA drives. My board is set up for up to four SATA150 drives, but I'm not sure if I'm going to use all four right away. And I've been told I may have to format my Maxtor and reinstall Windows in order to be compatible with the new platform. I am going to also keep my existing opticals, since they aren't crucial to the overall performance upgrade of the build itself. To replace my 80mm fans, I also have 7x AC Ryan UV fans in Green/Blue and Blue/Orange color combos that will be getting hooked into a Sunbeam 5.25" Rheobus with 20W/channel, (that, or the "Windmill" model that will handle 7 fans) to come a little later, and integrated into the case mod I have planned, which will involve two side fans and a top blowhole. I will also be keeping my OCZ 450W unless I see that I need more in the power deparment. Then I might go to a 520 or 550. At the moment, I'm just hoping I'll have enough molex's for the board, since it requires four connections. And the GPU alone will probably need two more. I guess I can get more if I need to.
So anyway, these will be the specs for "MegaRig". Some specs like PSU and SATA may change :

*Sound card, possibly X-Fi
*Sunbeam 5.25" Rheobus with 20W/channel OR Sunbeam "Windmill"

*3x 120mm AC Ryan UV
