Tonight I decided to try reaching my goal of 2100Mhz out of this barton chip.
My goal was to get it by setting my FSB to 191 x 11. Before my system seemed to fail at the 191 FSB setting. I was running my vcore at 1.650v
and my Vdimm at 2.750v. I raised both of these voltages to 1.675v (vcore) and 2.850 (vdimm). and since it failed at 191 before, I was holding my breath while I saved my bios and restarted. Everything posted fine. The post speed was 2101 Mhz. and the Wclk program tells me it is at 2105.01 Mhz. It also tells me in my WCPUID program that I am running at 2105.01; and the Everest program also confirms that same speed. My temp is at 36°C/97°F. it seems stable.... I am going to look into getting new memory maybe some DDR 400 memory. Currently using PC2700 512 Mb DDR333.
I am pretty happy about this!!!

System rundown
Abit KD7-E Mobo - Athlon XP 2500+ Barton - 512MB PC2700 DDR333 memory - Sound Blaster Live Value w/ digital out - 420 Watt ATX Power supply (cheiftech).
Settings: FSB 191 Multi. 11 - Vcore = 1.675v - Vdimm = 2.850v - 5:2:1
Temps - (They went back down!!!! ) Motherboard: 42°C/108°F - CPU 35°C/95°F
- Hope this helps!!!

Edit - This CPU is a Desktop chip LOCKED!!! Nothing done to it to unlock or to make it mobile.

Rainz3 - It is a desktop!!

Captin Newbie - I am considering Folding... Can you please send me some info so I can make a good decision please?? I already know it is about Cancer research but I am talking more about making a decision based on my system setting and how it runs.
Thanks...

Congrats on reaching your goal ble81. That's pretty good for a KD7-E and PC2700. :)

Good job on the conscription Captain.

nice oc for the low vcore, if you got some better ram i bet that chip could hit the 2.4 mark.

Yeah, I agree. Make sure that your system is adequately cooled and overclock away. As you can see from my sig, you can take your voltage up high on air cooling if you can cool it enough. I'd like to see what that thing can do. Keep us updated.
Edit: BTW, make sure that you use Prime95 to test stability. If your system is not stable, you might corrupt Windows or your programs. Just do a search in the forums about Prime if you don't know much about it.

I forgot a couple of things - I have an Nvida GeForce 4 MX440 w/64 MB ram, and at this point I am water cooling it using a homebrew system. The water block is the Pop Can block that J. Fettig had created ( http://www.overclockers.com/tips980/ ) and I am using a resevoir with a pond pump inside and I have a heater core that I made a shroud to fit a 120mm fan. The system sits on a box that contains the whole water cooling system. The only bit of water in the rig comes from the bottom of the case where the water tubes enter and exit from the water block of course.

Well done, considering the RAM was probably holding you back. Better RAM would allow you to get a fair bit higher. But of course, overclocking is about going faster for free. :)

Off topic, but Find-A-Drug is in my opinion a far better project. It isn't limited to Cancer, but also includes HIV, Malaria and metabolical research. Tuberculosis, SARS, Diabetes, Alzheimers and Multiple Sclerosis (MS being the reason for me) all having been run in the past, and depending on results, could run again.

Also, unlike most projects, it has actually found cancer and HIV inhibitors. There is a linux client and multiple processor support for the more advanced users.

It's a far better project and the reason I don't fold or use grid anymore. Don't be forced into running anything until you make up your mind. The constant ramming of "use it to fold" down people's throats grates a bit.

With watercooling your speeds should fly. Impressed with the homebrew kit btw. I'd be deathly afraid.
And, is your cpu locked or unlocked out of curiousity?

EDIT: NEVERMIND, just saw your edit above.
