I saw my cpu was at 80*C and this is what I found....

I'm not sure on this.
Look in the middle of the thermal compound imprint. You see the big hole in the middle? It is really burnt up in there. You really need to lap that thing, it isn't making enough contact.

Correction for yodums lab should be Lap. And I would agree! Perhaps it is time for a new heatsink:

Looks a little dusty as well. You might want to get some compressed air and clean that up...it will add to heat!

I just switched it with an adda heatsink I bought from london drugs a while back. It's a lot bigger than the volcano 2 and seems to be doing a better job now.
