hey my computer rebooted and the moniter had some odd pixelation on it , so i checked the vid. card and the ram things like burned me, so i think its dead but what are any ideas on anything else that my be wrong with it?

Your card might be dead. While I was trying to remove a ramsink I ripped off one of the ram chips on the video card. Well I pretty much knew it was dead, but I tried it out anyway. It gave a weird pixelation on the screen like you said urs did. Does your computer give an beeps for video card failure or anything?

I probably over heated. make sure you put them in right, check and make sure your heatsinks aren mis-aligned. And try agian. It also maybe a driver issue.

If that dosnt work try clearing CMOS. (remove the battery on ur MB for a min or so and put it back in)

i tried putting it in a different pc and they both boot normally (as i can tell from the souinds at least) but i cant see any of it. so im pretty sure its dead.
