Hey, i'm REALLY new to overclocking and I need some help,

I've been trying to overclock the i5 6500 on the GA-Z170-HD3P.

I've found some tutorials but I guess I was too stupid too follow them, the problem is that I can set the base clock to 101, but whenever I set it higher I get a boot failed error.

How can I fix that?

//edit I have a R9 380x XFX 990MHz
and 8GB Crucial 2133mhz DDR4 (1x8GB)

FUUU Intel, by making the board act like a cheap early-2000s motherboard.....

You can roll back the BIOS and overclock the i5 6500 without issue. Im a complete newb (first time OC'ing) and was able to get mine successfully OC'ed to 4544. (142 x 32) Below are my computer specs. But it clearly can be done! I followed the guide to the letter on the link listed above from overclocking.guide

Asus ROG Maximus VIII Hero MoBo (flashed with non-k OC bios)
Intel i5 - 6500
Cryorig R1 Ultimate cooler
32gb Corsair Vengeance LPX C14 3200mhz DDR4
Asus Strix GTX1070

And below is what I currently have it clocked at:
BLCK is at 142 with a 32 multiplier for a clock of 4544mhz
CPU voltage at 1.35
Package temps have never been over 60*c while benchmarking even with 3Dmark
RAM around 3000 mhz (have not messed with RAM OC yet, just found something that was stable)
RAM voltage at 1.35

(I have not touched the cache or fclk)

Graphics card is overclocked to the following:

+225mhz on the core clock for a total OC of 2126mhz
+1100mhz on the RAM for a total of 9102mhz
100% core voltage
112% power limit
92*c temp limit (have not seen over 50*c during gaming, and 60*c in 3dMark test)
