Sorry that I began with links first, and as long as everything is compatible here that it will work well that's not what I have to ask.
Sorry that I listed some odds and ends which aren't that important, but if what I am being told is correct about a Rent Rebate check that I can get, which I am being told is as much as 1,000$, I need to file first but I was also told I have a bit of time yet. If all true and I can get it, it will cover the entire list, with a little change left even.
I really don't have much I really want to ask, other than is 750 Watts good. I want to have extra headroom as it is possible in the future I might want to get an i9.
But it's always possible I might upgrade video too, I sometimes can squeeze out over 200$ extra for something other than this setup, which is probably just barely enough for 4K. No hurry if it is not, I don't even have a 4K TV. Chances are good I will keep to 1080p for awhile yet until I can actually afford to get a 4K TV.
As I just placed another movie into my current system to watch, just remembered I should add CyberLink PowerDVD to it, as I currently cannot even play a Blu Ray.
Overclocking - Probably not, and besides that, I didn't see it on the MSI site for the board I have on that list, other than Overclocking ram.
I am just trying to put together a decent base which I have good options for upgrading at some point later on.
If everything looks good, and 750 Watts is well enough great, if I need higher than what is listed, please let me know.
I am hoping it is too much for what is listed for now, but I am also trying to be sure it is enough power for possible upgrades if I decide to do so in the future, which at very least I will probably want to get an i9. I figured starting with something lower at first was the way to go, until I can spend something for possibly a new video card too, sometime in the future.
Ahhh. Please disregard the current computer I have listed on my profile listing when I post, I have a Ryzen in the laptop I am typing this on, and the current desktop I am using is an old HP, AMD 4 core of some sort, not sure I remember for sure the name of it. The HP is upgraded pretty much as far as I can go, thing only even has just 1 PCIe slot. If I remember I filled the ram bank as full as you can get it. And the PCIe slot has a somewhat old video card in it too, it has HDMI that's why it's in there, so that I can hook it up to the TV. I will probably use both Blu Ray drives with this new one, and later get a 4K Drive. It has a 500GB SSD, I will probably use that for extra storage.
As I look over there at the HP, I see the side panel is still laying against the Elvis Collection I have on Vinyl, and not on the HP case where it belongs. As I look over there at it some, the only other thing I may use from it is the power cord, if the PSU doesn't come with one. There's really not many other pieces all that usable to use on the above system, which would be of any use. The memory is DDR3, which will not fit into a DDR5 slot. Yeah so I would end up filling all my drive bays that way, when like I do get a 4K drive to put in it, but is that really a bad thing?
I don't know if this is anything of interest, but this will be my first Intel since about 2005. Every PC I have owned since then used some sort of AMD processor in it, built by me, or together already like my slim HP which my life partner got for me once from Aaron's. My life partner is gone, died January 3rd. This year. My HP he got me was like around 2007. Oh, did have one other Intel back around 2006, a Pentium 4 equivalent server, ahhh damn how many pins did like them Xeons use?
Anyways, this will be my first Intel in pretty many years.
I guess I am just left with signing off now, advice if any needed, and thank you.
Thanks Fur Reading, Fievel. ;-)
