I recently fried my motherboard now my question was which board should i buy abit or asus i recently bought a P4 3.2E i heard that abit was better in overclocking prescott

Abit IC7-G gets my vote.

I had an Asus P4C800E mobo and while I loved it, it has MANY features, the droop of the vcore sucks unless you do a droop mod to it.

The IC7-G is supposed to have an awesome vcore powerplant, if not one of the best for Socket 478, to help with the Prescott's power needs.

So another vote for the IC7-G
