IC7-Max3 On-board LAN problems

For some reason, every now and then, the LAN doesn't work. Once a while this happens, and I reinstall Windows XP Pro (repair) and it works fine, othertimes, if I up the vCore, it'll work. Now I tried everything, and it won't work.... any idea's? I've been told to RMA the board, but would like to seek other options before tearing down the system again. Any idea's would be appreciated.

try uninstalling the lan drivers and reinstall them maybe that will work?

I bought a network card to see if it would work, it didn't. Turns out one of the ports on the router is not working properly...
