IC7-Max3 questions..

i am thinking about getting this board. but does anyone know if it will work without ecc ram. i am going to put 2 gigs of ram in it and ecc makes it really spendy. also is there anything else that i should know about this board or is there a better board out there?

There is a vdimm voltage problem passed 2.8v. It could come with the number 64 cap removed if not you can remove it yourself pretty easy. That should make it stable passed 2.8. As for the ecc thing not sure on it. I have read that you want ecc if you go over 1 gig of memory not because of board but because of operating system but i could be wrong.
