question....if i using IDE PCI card, like ata 133. could my IDE bus on motherboard still working? or only either the PCI work or the mohterboard bus work.

hi firebird, as long as you have enough IRQs, which is almost always, both the PCI IDE card and the motherboard's IDE controllers will be able to work at the same time.

You should check the documentation for the card. When ATA66 first came out, a card I bought would only work with the mobo IDE ports disabled.

i had ata33 and 66 and 100 and 133 and each card worked with the onboard ide so i think ur safe man
