SOLVED IDE Prefetch mode - is there really a difference?

I posted a few weeks ago about a problem getting my FIC AD11 to overclock the FSB. Well, I fixed it - by disabling IDE Prefetch mode in the Bios. Now it overclocks happily.

I ran a disk test using SiSoft Sandra and got the following:
Prefetch enabled - 21969
Prefetch disabled - 21950

Is this right - if so it seems as though it doesn't matter too much if it's enabled or not. Am I missing anything here? Seems OK - I can't see any loss of performance anywhere.
