Hello people..
Overclockers.com newbi here...

I have built 2 game machines exactly the same, the specs are in my sig, my question / concern here is that the 3Dmark scores are patheticly low compared to those on their website.

Game Machine A:
Has a ATI Saphire 9800 (128) card vs a Ti 4600 (128)
It has a 3DMark2003 Score of 2865 and get a solid 60FPS in Call of Duty. This seems extremly low for a 3.6GHz Intel with a 9800 Video card.

Game Machine B:
the one listed in my Sig get a solid 91FPS in Call of Duty but yet it runs on a card that is not as good.

Anyone with some helpfull hints on what I should look for when testing the video cards for performace issue....would be a great help. I am pretty experianced in the OC'd field since P 266 Mhz days, but this has me confused.

Thank You

Wow, that is a bit low alright.
Only two things come to mind, I presume you have the latest drivers?
And have you tried switching the cards between the 2 machines?

Wow, that is low. I'm running a 900mhz Duron (till I get my replacement mobo for my 2500+ Barton) and a 9600XT and I get a 3548 in 3dmark03. Make sure you close everything running in the background and you have new drivers. The 9800 should do very well. I don't know about the 4600 though. It's got the fill rate, but the pixel shading and such might kill it.

First off try /com_maxfps 1000 in the console.

I dont know if thats going to help you though seeing as you only get a 2300 ish score in 3d2k3.

My softmoded 9500 64mb card averages over 120fps in COD.

You should post your driver and game settings.
