pretty cool screen! I guess if you wanted you could hook it up as a second monitor, and only display temperature info on it from MBM or some such.

Personally I prefer the normal cheapo B&W LCDs that you can hook up to a serial port. Much easier to wire up for Digital Doc-style readings.

i know www.pcmods.com carried the lcd's but they were still kind of expensive. From what i understand the color screens hook up to the tv-out on your radeon.

I know the single color LCD screens have all kinds of downloadable scripts to display stuff, like mp3 info, current download/upload speed, cpu temp, all kinds of realtime info.

here's the link for those:

as far as the color screens i think if you can get a regular windows program to display the stuff you want, you can just set the lcd up with a regular windows desktop and then display what you want on it.

Element-Xero, I've seen the LCD displays that are back-lit like an indiglow watch, but the start price on the fully programmable on with a small screen and no characters is $100. The screen which will do pretty much anything you can download for it to do displays at 640x480 and cost $200! If I could get one of these screens for less than that that I could backlight with a white EL light panel ($30 for a full kit with 6 color panels included), I think it would kick some serious butt! Thanks for the input guys! :)
