I'm gonna make an order, which one of these has the most potential

I'm running good air cooling. I have a 2100+ right now but it's a crappy stepping and tops out at 2143mhz. A lot of people are getting the 1700's. my question is what cpu on this page should I go for. I want to be able to hit 2.4 ghz or maybe even 2.5

My cooling consists of an slk-800 and a 120mm fan pushing 119 cfm of air.

I'm just worried if I get a 1700+ I won't be able to hit 2.4 or 2.5 with my cooling. I'm really leaning towards a better stepping on the 2100+

I would love to have an opinion. Also please let me know WHICH of the 1700's or 2100's you would buy from the list.

Most definitely, the 1700+ DLT3C JUIHB 0310 WPMW or XPMW.

They'll get you just as far as any 2100+, if not farther, on average.

Get them while they're hot!!

From what I've seen, you'll be happy with that 1700+ stepping.

You will be happy with the 0310XPMW, it is one of the best right now, along with the 0307's. How did you manage to fit a 120mm fan on an SLK800?

I took the 120mm fan and ground the corners off so the clamps would come around and fit. It does overlap the heatsink quite a bit but who cares. I could get better cooling if I found a way to channel the air better but this works good to.

$82 for a 1700-0310 xpmw. I just sold mine for $55. Good chip my mobo stopped me at 2.4 but the guy who has it now is at [email protected] and still going up. (watercooled & a pelt) What mobo do you have? Its not always the CPU that stops your oc. My ASSUS won't go over 2.4 no matter what chip I have in it and thats with all 3 volt mods done.

With the 1700 0310XPMW and an EPoX 8RDA I think that 2.4 is a reasonable goal...good luck, and keep us posted.

I have a xp2500 as well and run it as a xp2800 (2100 mhz)

Would upping the fsb and lowering the mulitplier speed things up.

Also im running the standarn heat sink and fan and my temp is like 35 c max

Now i know u all say the standard hsf are ****e but it seems to keep things cool,

Well I see you waited 21 minutes for someone to reply, sometimes you gotta give us some time!

But it looks like you made a good choice. I just ordered one of them myself from excaliberpc. :D

Hopefully I don't get a dud.
