I have a Gigabyte 7IXE4 mobo and a Duron 850. I can change the FSB for the botherboard upto 115 max, but anything past 110 is unstable. I want to be able to change the clock multiplier instead, as it is more stable doing so for the system. Theres no option in the bios or any jumpers on the board to change the multiplier...is there any way of being able to change the multiplier......my Duron is already unlocked.

I've found this site : http://members.nbci.com/_XMCM/candjac/index.htm, but its too difficult and requires soldering etc.....is there an easier way? maybe something to do with the L bridges on the CPU ....but i think the only way to change the multiplier is to change it on the mobo.

I'm greatful of any help.

P.S. i have my core voltage at 1.80 now ....will it help with stability?

Well if there is no way to change the multipley in the bios or by changng jumper setings (what does your manual say about this?) then you will probbly have to do some moding.

how would i go about doing that? ...i need help...

why??????? i wanna change the multiplier!!!!!!!!!!!!!! how does this mod thing work?????? i changed the voltage by joining/cutting bridges on the Duron ....can i do a similar procedure to change the multiplier???...maybe not........does anyone know ANY WAY to get some control over the default clock multiplier????? .....ive realised that if i up the FSB past 100 (default of course) it becomes tooooooooo unstable ...i need to get to that multiplier...surely theres a way

by the way, ignore those smiley faces.......if there were meant to be smiley faces, id put them there when appropriate...however, due to my great uncurable sadness, they are innapropriate.....anyway...enough of that bollocks...im puzzled
