Has anyone ever played a game called infantry? It's off the everquest site or somthin? It's a downloadable game.

Sorry for providing no link. Silly me. BUt yes. Gt2000 is correct. I'm just wondering if anyone has played it before. It used to be a really fun game til they changed a lot of it around. You have to pay for the subscription to actually use a registered name now.

I play it, its ok but addicting downer is it costs $7/month but that includes 3 games with tons of different zones 20 infantry, there is also CR(with different zones) a flying game in the same view as Infantry, and Tanarus which is a 3d tank game(with more different zones within it)

OMG INFANTRY!!!!! I love this game I have been playing it for 3+years now. Honestly no game could hold a candle to it during its prime. The community is small but most of them are relatively nice although there are the average idiots, and since the chat system is right there you can see them.
Dont let the graphics turn you off because the game truly is amazing. Currently there are 3 great zones, a few are good but not great, EOL, p2p only, [HC] Boarding action, its a game where you have to get all the static flags and it has 10 classes, and CTF5/CTF Twin Peaks, the most popular zone for guests since you can play 100% as long as you dont want to keep your stats its hard to learn but its fun. If you want some pointers read the guides, they are EXTREMELY HELPFUL, or private message me if i'm on by typing ?find madcow, thats to find if im on im Madcow no numbers, and type :madcow:BLAH BLAH BLAH im from Oc forums.

The game is very unique and i really suggest everyone give it a try since its like a 50mb game. GOD I LOVE THIS GAME!

FYI dont pay right away because right now not much is going on in developing, sony fired all of our devs but one and the current PR rep won't listen to any of our suggestions.

I used to play this game alot back in the day. It was the only game that wouldn't lag out on my 56k; I was quite good at it too, usually made MVP several games in a row. I still have screenshots of some really messed up bugs and other stuff... great fun.

A long time ago I made several attempts to play that but never got it to work. I think I might check it out again. Sucks you have to pay

yeah, I used to play this game all the time. 3 years ago. Never could stop playing it. Very addicting. I stopped playing because you have to pay to have a registered name and stats. I still like it. J/w if anyone else was really into it.

I also played it alot... I loved bughunt.. and Pikes...

But stopped when it went P2P..

Subspace however is still good to play

You can still play most of the zones and some zones are all ~guests, bug hunt is the main guest zone. Its really fun and since the community is so small we need new people so bad.

Well Sony killed the Infantry community when it went P2P... I remember when you could find hundrerds of ppl on Pikes or Mech Skirmish... now you're lucky if you find 20 peeps on more then 2 servers at a time

Yeah I remeber that. I remeber bug hunt first came out, It was so awesome. I remeber my first game, No Man's Land when they had turrets and the huge grenade launching machine. You'd fire a grenade into the middle of no where and kill 1-3 people.

Theres about 1000 people on at any given time. And harcore could be quite possibly the best game ive played in a long time especially since it gets updated regularly, if you played before sony its like The Journey out but cooler.

Yes I too remember the glory days of bughunt... groups of 30+ ppl on both Marine and Skrall turning the corridors into bloody slaughter houses...

I love the ripper gun and the speedy Skrall scout

Bug hunt is still full of people. www.infantry-sector.com is where all the bughunt kids go.

Would be better if they actually changed maps Oh at least once a year..
that is still the only bughunt map around and it gets dull
