Hello, I am in the process of building a custom kernel (NTFS read support and Intel i875p ICH5 raid support) and i was wondering if I could install the kernel while I am installing linux. I need this Kernel to load so I can read my raid disks (no drivers for the controller, just a custom kernel). SO, is there anyway to install linux (Fedora) with this new kernel so I can detect the drives at install time?

Thanks.

doesnt fedora let you modprobe the modules for the raid card at install???

never used fedora, but yeah you could for sure do that with gentoo\

but you could install a custom kernel after you get fedora installed (if fedora wont boot because it doesnt recognize your hdd's, just get a liveCD and do it)
