Right now I've got two XP1600s modded as MPs without my audigy in. When I power off, install the audigy, and boot back up, I get the "you have non-multi processor blah" and BIOS reads 1 CPU...

So I turn it off, and on, and off, and on. Re-do the L5 bridges, take out Audigy and it's all good. Turn off, plug in Audigy, power on and I get the one processor message again...

The Audigy seems to be conflicting my CPUs....what should I do?

If it only happpens with the Audigy installed, I have never heard of this happening, I would say the best bet is to get rid of the Audigy. I try to stay away from Creative, one reason is the incompatibility issues they tend to have. Creative was in such a hurry to release the Audigy 2 because they were loosing ground to Hercules, Santa Cruz, Philips, etc that I dont think they did the all the testing of this card they should have. I have heard of several compatibilty issues with it, but this is the first time I have heard this one.

UPDATE

Now, I can get past the BIOS with the Audigy in - 2 x MPs but after the WinXP loading screen, the computer just reboots itself. Did this about 3-4 times in a row. Take Audigy out, boots no problem.

Well, I've got the two 64bit slots, and 3 32bit slots. I'll try swapping the network card's spot and the sound card spot. Be right back!
