I have finally started having problems with my i9-14900k. When benching with 12c/20t (8p+4e) I now get a BSOD whenever the program gets to the CPU Part. The error is “ A Critical Process was not completed “ in 3D Mark 06 and 3D Mark 11. It worked great in Dec when I stored it while benching my x299. I pulled it back out mid Jan and it was okay with the 4c/4t setup.
- Short Story : I informed Intel that I had OCed the Processor and Other information that they wanted during the RMA. * I was TOLD - Thank You for Buying a NIB Intel Processor BUT Your Warranty is Invalid. We do not recognize second hand sellers, IE NewEgg and Amazon :-(

I was also told at the beginning of the RMA that OCing is also grounds for refusal BUT has Anyone else heard of this??

Thanks

Why don't you try to RMA in the store where you got it? Amazon should accept the return.

RMA can be rejected if you OC non-K CPUs. It shouldn't when you have a K series. I think it was somewhere in the warranty agreement, but I don't remember.
They can reject the RMA if the CPU wasn't purchased from the official distribution, as they can't confirm the source (it could be stolen or something similar).

Also, if you updated BIOS to one of the latest versions, then expect worse OC.
