I have a PII 350@467 on a DFI P2XBL rev C with chipset Intel 440BX.
I changed CPU multipliers to x4 but it wont change i'm still in x3.5 Is this hapening because the blocking of the Intel microprocesors ?

Thanks

Yes, the multiplier on that chip is locked. intel started doing this on the PII 266/Celeron 300 to prevent people from re-labling the chips and then reselling them.

Funny, now intel is doing just that, with the Celeron II 533a...calling it a 800E now.

No matter what you set the multi in the BIOS at , it will run what the chip's specific multi is.

Thanks I'm new on this.

Another question:

I have a Voodoo 3 3000 AGP. Do you know if i can change the PCI frequency for the AGP bus only ?

Motti

The agp bus isn't considered the pci bus. There should be two areas agp bus divider and pci bus divider. The divider won't do too much. If you want more speed o/c the card. Use powerstrip.

i don't want more speed. I want to change agp bus dividers because i don't want to o/c it when i change the fsb !
