Intel i3 and Intel HD5500 For Minecraft

My girlfriend is wanting a laptop now over and iPad so she can do general stuff like watch Netflix and play Mine craft to Sims 3 and 4 will this laptop be OK to play these games on decent settings at least

Where going for a large screen as 1 reason why we want the laptop but for gaming I would be upgrading the RAM in the future when we can afford it to either 8GB x2 modules or if price is ok 16GB, so could she play Minecraft at least on it.

I'd go for something with a dedicated GPU.
Also, if you're later upgrading RAM, be sure to run 2x sticks so you get dual channel.

I've been looking into 15.6 laptops some have 2GB R7 cards but I don't know if they are dedicated cards in these laptops

If it has an Intel CPU and an nVidia or AMD graphics card, it is dedicated.

You better spend little more for a dedicated GPU, But if all you play is minecraft then they're both fine But if you choose the HD graphics one your laptop will use its own ram as video ram, But you should be fine cause it'll take max 2 gigs of ram for video ram and you'll be left with 6 for everything else so iys fine, If you want more spare ram then go for the dedicated GPU laptop, I dont know why you will want to upgrade your ram since you'll not be able to play heavy demanding games on this laptop anyway so its just waste of money, 8gigs is way more than you'll probably need.

This laptop is pretty fine for minecraft with the highest settings( not the highest chunks but anything else yes
