its a great idea tho, Its wonderful that such a gigantic corp looks at the !% of costumers that take their products to the limit. If the throw out some marketing maybe the overcloking community will grow, its all about marketing

I'll totally agree with you jd , coz the ES chips are the FIRST ones and they are BETA.....The ones after them are much better......;)
 
If they unlock the multiplier in ther special "OC" chips, they probably would only let you lower the multi, and not raise it as they did with some of the early p2's. Also you can expect to pay a hefty premium for these chips. I also woundn't be suprised if Intel puts them into a completely different brand segment also.
 
that`s a good idea, lower but no higer means no reamrk... unles you want to sell ir cheaper than what you pay ;)
