What do people recon would be the better chip to use ?

And what chip do people recon would overclock better?

The reason behind this is, as i've said in another thread i've overclocked my Cyrix PR300, core or 233 to 266. A friend has given me a intel p 233 mmx, and was wondering if it was worth swapping the chips over.

I think 233 would be better, it would overclock to 300 probably. If it was an early P2, it would have an unlock multiplier it would maybe do 333 with some good cooling!

The 233 is a better chip and it will clock a bunch higher. The multiplier is even unlocked! The best chip for that old rig would be a K6-2 or K6-3. I think the K6-2 went up to 600 with a .18 core so find one of those if you can.

There was a 600 mobile chip but not many were made.
