Hi folks,

I'm administering a new system that's showing intermittent stability issues. The specs are quite basic:

  • i6-6500
  • GA-Z170-HD3
  • 8GB DDR4 (Kingston) in dual channel config
  • 240GB Sandisk Ultra II SSD
  • Asus GTX960 Strix w. 4GB VRAM
  • Antec Truepower Classic Gold 650W PSU

I originally thought it might be a software or overtemp issue, ruled out the first and did some system monitoring for the second. So, that's how I found out that vCore is fluctuating across about a 0.5V range from about 0.59V up to about 1.1V.
Just wanted some confirmation on my thoughts that this is well out of the normal band in which case there's probably (definitely) something wrong with the voltage regulation on the mobo.

The range seems excessive and the frequency of the oscillation is wild - screen shot of the monitoring below:

Thoughts?
