I have windows on my 1tb drive and I downloaded windows newest RST versions (iata_enu_10.8.0.1003.exe) and installed it and set everything up. I went to reboot as it asked me, and it came up with "Reboot and Select proper Boot device". So, I upgraded my bios to the newest version on my extreme3 gen3 seeing as it had a RAID rom upgrade. Still nothing. I'm about to lose it. Please help me asap. Thanks so much guys.

P.S. I can;t even seem to get into the OS no matter the boot options. I was thinking maybe I needed to upgrade the firmware for IRST as I never downloaded any firmware, but I'm definitely assuming it came with the RST version I downloaded.

And yes I followed this thing to the tee

So I have read that reinstalling windows with only the hdd plugged in may do the trick so thats what im trying now. In addition though, I will make sure all of my driver are up to date. How do I know what drivers and bios versions are compatible to what SRT download version???

Any other ideas/advice is greatly appreciated.

UPDATE: When I try to reinstall it doesnt even see my hdd. mlia

After a lot of research and screwing around I fixed the issue. The hdd was disabled by raid, so I pressed control L to go to the raid menu and turned it off then, turns out I had to, like other forums suggested, install windows in raid mode with ONLY the hdd plugged in, then dl the drivers and the srt program. Everything worked after that. Boy what a pain in the butt though.
