Has anyone built and used an intercooler in their water system? If so, how well did it work?? Did you cool the TEC with HSF?
The idea I had was to use two waterblocks to sandwich the TEC, that way I could achieve the optimum mounting pressure. The water from the radiator would pass through the cold side waterblock and on to the CPU waterblock, from there it would go through the pump and then through the hot side waterblock before returning to the radiator.
I have a 12 pass radiator made by Lytron originally for an IBM cooler, and with two 120mm 96cfm a.c. fans I think it should be able to cool the water without a problem. I'm thinking that this set-up will cool nicely, but not to too drastically that condensation will be a problem. It will also have the added benefit that even if the peltier or it's power supply fails my chip won't fry itself before it can shut itself down as it is still being water cooled..
