Ran across this fan, and I don't recall seeing anything like it. Anyone else?

I also wonder how well it works, specifically static pressure, without a full frame around it.

I'll bet it looks better than it performs. I'm still waiting for all those toroidal fans to hit the market.

They look like they would do a great job at recirculating air around in your case. Actually push air through a somewhat restrictive fan guard, not so much.
 
Consensus of reviews (even on 2yo YouTube videos) seems to be noisy/overpriced, but for most it seems to fix some sort of space/cable issues, so... niche?
 
Im debating about testing these in Microcenter.......... they are.......the most interesting LOOKING fans I've seen, but that ~$30 price is offputting.

Pretty cool, but good lord if you thought getting your finger on a fan with a casing would be bad, this would shred your finger.
