i came home one day after school and i couldnt get online. i called up some friends and their internet was fine. i have rogers cable and am behind a router. it was weird because during the 3 hours it was bust there was like 5 minutes in there when i connected and then got disconnected again. im currently behind a router and all 3 of my computers internet was down. the internet was working fine the previous day and i didnt do anything out of the ordinary....games, msn. msword....
my LAN network connection seems to be fine but my 1394(i think) netwrk connection says IP is unavailable, and everything else unavailable...i think it was like this before too but im not sure
anyone that knows what the problem is and knows how to fix it please reply soon cuz ill have to leave soon as im typing this msg at a friends house.

thanks in advance

Try a direct connection to your modem from a single PC just to negate the possibility of modem failure. If it works that way then you know it's something with the router or cabling.

hmm, problem fixed....i think
i followed your advice jon and tried a direct cable connection and it worked. so i plugged back in my router to give it a shot expecting it not to work it worked lol. i guess my router just needed a break, i never turned it off in like a week.....must fold ;)
