Internet Explorer opening blank pages whenever...

Every now and then, when I click on a link in IE6 to go to a page, the page will open for like 2 seconds, then the page will suddenly get forwarded to the address http:///

I thought it might have something to do with spyware, and Ive been running ad aware with the newest update every day, and it always finds at least 4 new things, every single day, sometimes like twice a day. And I have no idea what it is, Ive tried a system restore. The last thing I want to do is reformat.

Does anyone have any idea what it could be?
