Check my sig. No.

With the backpressure caused by the structure of your case, I doubt you would ever be able to get it that high. The Hoot Chute wasn't able to utilize all the air that the centrifugal blower could push, because the air couldn't get out any faster. That's working with a ~200 CFM blower. So if you are using a standard case, you're going to need a lot of pressure to get anywhere close to that number.

But I don't want to shoot down new ideas, so if you have something revolutionary in mind: by all means, blaze some new trails.

Perhaps his idea is simply to have a large box or tunnel with one of those big huge AC fans at each end. You know the ones with the stands that you can angle it up and down and the whole fan enclosure pretty much consists of just a big wire frame. That should certain provide at least that much airflow, possibly more.

alternatively, he may just be building an enclosure out of fans glued or otherwise fastened together.

Hmm, interesting concept. Would get a trifle expensive, but definitely an interesting concept. Maybe someone should try it. With half them fans blowing and half sucking, you should get some awesome airflow.

As i see little point in having that much air flow a good setup will keep your temps close to room temp and thats the best it gets anyway. I have about 108cfm with a little case pressure and I have 28.0C in the case 31.4 C Load at the processor. Room temp is 23C. More power to you if you can get it to work I just dont see any point in it. :) Best of luck and wear eagplugs

umm, can you say overkill.

My box stays cool with less than 100 cfm going through it, usualy more like 60.

Considering that most cases dont have more that 2 cubic feet of space in them, my midtower is just over 1 cubic foot, that means that at 60 CFM i am changing the air in my case once every second.

Hey Prodius613, just make sure you bolt your case to the floor so it doesn't fly away. :p :D :D

id seriously consider what wyrmmaster was saing about bolting it down thats a hell of alot of air flow that could probably easily toss a computer off a desk 2-3 seconds after you kick the power on.

what do u think of the dell desktops? Allthough i dont own 1 i work on them all the time for my clients. If u didnt see the green light on the front of the case u wouldnt know the pc was on. Thats how quiet the Dells are. BTW if i was going to buy a manufactured PC it would have to be the Dell. i think for the price and quality u cant beat a Dell, or maybe its just my pref. I do however own a inspiron 8100. I wanted to take my gamming everywhere i go and u just cant do that with a desktop so a latop with a 64meg radeon 7500 would do just fine. more power to dell they get my first recommendation to all my clients. next would be sony ofcourse. but above those 2 would be my custom PCs hehe...

heres an idea to flow alot of air through your case. take both sides off and tie it to the top of your car. or you could use a compressor. or an airplane prop hooked to a Keath Black HEMI(~6000hp) :burn:

if u have the cash this is pretty easy. if u want to do it with case fans only then just get a bunch of high end 120mm fans and a diff power supply just for ur fans.. if u dont u can pick up some pretty massive fans online they are not made for comps though so some cuting would be needed.
