Is my graphics card to hot?

My graphics card is a 7950gt sparkle card and with the sensors that came with my case it says the card is 40degrees celsius on the outside, is that to hot??

40C is not hot. Other parts are probably hotter and probably is much hotter under load.

That's a perfectly normal temp for a vid card.....they can get into the 70c-80c range and even higher and still be ok.

EDIT: your card will turn off if it hits a certain temperature, so it won't hurt itself
