3500 and 3700 eb 512mb stick seem to be out of stock in a lot of places i look, but saw some 3200 and wondering if i should get that or just wait for the 3500 or 3700

Where is it out of stock? Micron did stop production of the "C" chips, so unless OCZ has a large stockpile, this stuff could be out of stock like BH-5 is out of stock...

Wow. It does seem to have just dissapeared. Glad I got mine a couple months ago. I do think that 3200EB is essentially the same as the 3500 and 3700. It's supposed to be the same chips. Crank up the voltage and you should get similar results on all three of them. The 3500 and 3700 may have more consistent overclocks but the 3200 is no slouch.

Ya they all perform the same at the same speeds. Although the PC3200EB and PC3500EB i hear do the same, the only difference between the 3200, 3500 and 3700 is that they can hit higher clock speeds, but those are ridiculously high speeds anyway.

im running barton 2500+ @2455 (11x223, 2-2-2-10 timings, dual channel) with 2x256 OCZ EL pc-3500 on NF7-s, i really want ram that will match the OCZ i have in there atm.

Crucial Ballistix looks good. It's $138. per 512mb stick. But I've only read about one user's experience so far.

so you want to add the stick and run dual channel?

good luck with all three sticks, you'll get 166 for sure, maybe 200 fsb error free, and not a hell of a lot more....

another option i have is the PC-3500 EL series, that compare @ all?
WELCOME TO THE FORUMS! :)

Unless it's the "limited edition," you'll be getting CH-5 chips. CH-5 chips will do ok...maybe 230mhz or so at 2-3-3. As far as overall top end speed, the CH-5 probably won't stack up as well, though it's still not a bad option. You can probably find cheaper ways to get CH-5 chips though. :)

The EB ram isn't going away. Tony posted on some other boards about this very topic and he said they have some new chips in and more 3500 ram should be out soon
