thats the best one i have herd of. and i thought somebody might be hideing a secret some where out there... over the rainbow errr...don't ask

I dont' agree at all. I placed an order for a DFI mobo, vid card & P4 1.6a. 2 days later they actually shipped. No wait, actually the vid card shipped out first from some different facility, then a day later my mobo & proc shipped out. No notification. No explanation.

You're better off finding a local place to order from. I live in Lima Ohio, and can order from anywhere in the state, have it shipped UPS ground, and it's ALWAYS here next business day.

Youre kidding right. you would actually put down a company just because your 2 items went out a day apart and they did not notify you. I bet you still got everything you ordered in a timely manner. Newegg is so big they have several different warehouses and even use other companies at times. I have never had a problem with newegg and they are very good with RMAs if you happen to recieve something broken or dead on arival. In the spirit of this thread what other online places would you recomend. which is what this thread is about?

I can't think of another place to order from, personally. I wish I did, but newegg.com has been more than enough for me. Their customer service, their shipping, their RMA policy...all top-notch. I am a satisfied customer. :D

I've had very good experiences with kdcomputers. Theyre not as big as newegg, but their prices are great and theyre very prompt about getting things out the door. It also helps that they're closer to me than newegg, so shipping tends to be cheaper and quicker.

i have ordered from newegg many times and it was great. I ordered all the parts for a system a couple times and they all came together. Newegg also has good prices.

In a heartbeat. If I want to place an order, have no idea when it will ship (1 day - 4 days), then it comes on two seperate days.....I'll order online from WalMart.

I'll order from some place where my name could mean something.....I'm a number to NewEgg....an email addy. Granted, that may be fine for some of us.....but for me....I like to know a little about the guy I do business with. Call him with an order and ask him how his little boy is doing.

The order I got from NewEgg was horrible. The vid. card and proc were right, but the mobo was a piece of junk. It was listed as a DFI on their site....but turned out to be a VIA board. Then they didn't even care about changing it....I had to ask for the idiot's (person in cust. care) boss to tell him it may be a good idea to NOT FALSE ADVERTISE on their site.

The whole experience left a bad taste in my mouth.

BUT! Considering the number of orders they do get right and ship out every day.....I'm sure they are good to do business with.....for you!

:)

And I do business with a few places in Ohio...prices aren't as good....but UPS ground gets it here next day.'

And never, EVER do business with sr-systems.....in Indiana. I may drive over there Monday and kill someone.

Now I am starting to understand. Why didn't you mention the other problems you had with Newegg in your first post? I have found that whenever you need something done always move up the chain and ask for the manager when dealing with companies on the phone. The lower level guys have no power to do anything and most of the time have no idea what is going on. And I just want to be clear about your problem. AFAIK DFI is a board manufacturer and VIA is a chipset manufacturer. Did they misprint the model DFI board you ordered or did they send you a board by another manufacturer? What are some online companies that you would recomend to MrRealityman1 since that is what he started this thread for. Thanks.

Kenny

Was a misprint on their website. And if MrRealityMan would list where he's from...I might suggest a few locations.

Anything BUT the traveling computer shows....was one in town this weekend and it was a traveling junk show. I could build a PC from their components and spend $200 more than I would buying the parts online....makes me laugh.

lol, Cw fell out of bed this morning and landed on his head....

Considering the amount of items CW orders from all over the place, its just a matter of time before some vendor accidenly goofs up on an order.

I gotta tell you Newegg in my experience is an excellent vendor and I've never had a problem with them.

During the 8500 Oem 'fiasco' Newegg was one of the only online vendors that actually listed exactly the core and memory speed. That alone says something to me.

A friend of mine really liked my A-top modded case and I sold it to him, I ordered a

This Chieftek case (It was on sale for $49+$18 shipping) and I got it in 3 days.

CW I love you like the brother I never had, but Newegg is an excellent vendor :argue:

Hey...I keep VISA and online businesses alive man! It's people like me stimulating the American economy dang it!

For me, there were several things I didn't like about them. It was one of those few times when my money leaves the state....and I learned a lesson. I like knowing (when I order in state) that if my order is screwed up I can always go choke the life out of someone.

Oh yeah.....and I may sell this Crucial memory Sam...any takers?

PM Shadow ÒÓ, I just sent him a stick of Crucial and he needs one more.....But I am sure I gave him a better deal than you will offer.....MUahahaha :argue:

Update. Thursday @ 2:00 pm (EST) I ordered a mobo, proc, and memory. Had it shipped overnight. I figured if it were anything like my last order, it wouldn't ship till Monday. I'll be darned if I didn't have that order by noon the next day. My first time was a fluke, the second was spectacular.

Check newegg.com out on www.resellerratings.com.....great ratings.

my only complaint about newegg is their site is tough to navigate and a pain to price compare similar products

ain't that the truth you have to click like 6 times to get from the homepage to the price on processors.
