Is there any way to check what stepping of XP 1600+ Newegg is currently selling and shipping? I'm looking into buying a computer, and I have 2 choices basically, 1900+ with less cooling and DDR 2700.

OR 1600+ with more cooling and either higher 3200 DDR or a better video card than the Abit 4200 that I would be getting.

Now, who would like to help me with my lil dilemma?

No way of knowing. Recent revision codes for the XP1600+ reported by newegg customers have been AROIA and AGOIA, both are good overclockers.

Go for the AXP1600+ from www.gameve.com (or something), they have AthlonXP 1600+ AGOIA 'Z' 0226, very new pretty decent clocker too. I never heard of a 1900+ getting high overclocks, so I think that you'd be safer with the XP1600+
