is this a good NIC LAN Card?

I don't know much about networking & since I might be getting an Abit IC7 non G I'm going to need a LAN card. I also hear that it has to be a NIC LAN card. is that one good? if not could someone pls hook me up with a link

That's a fairly generic card, well supported by most operating systems. Some professional IT staff don't like the RealTek 8139 series chips but for home use, they're usually pretty good.

You could probably find a better price by doing a search on pricewatch for rtl8139.

I'm using the D-Link DFE538 tx 10/100 fast ethernet NIC, but it's only sold in canada :/ should be the same as that anyway.
