Ok I did it, I OCed my Barton 2500+ MY FIRST OC EVER :clap:


Now.... Im new so tell me if this is a safe setting.


175 X 12 = 2.10 Ghz

Core Volt @ 1.76 I set it at 1.725 though

temp stays around 45c - 50c


Memory on aggressive

and it said something like final: 210Mhz

also my CPU setting is on opptimal

What are you using to test stability?

Are these temp's @ full load?
 
Im using Hmonitor

what is at full load... right now im running HL and a full other CPU using progs and it stays at 47C

1st off there is a edit button @ the bottom right of you post you can edit a post instead of spaming.


2 You need to run something like prime95, memtest86, 3dmark, sandra, toast, pcmark, etc to check your system's stability. prime will give you you full load temp just run the touture test.
 
I think that as long as your temps stay close to 50 under load, (while stressing the cpu) you are pretty safe. Download prime95, and let it run the torture test for an hour or two, see what the temps are like after that, and raise the cpu speed as needed untill temps start to raise too much, or prime starts to give errors.
 
definately try to stay under 50. i would also suggest keeping your memory speed syncronised with the fsb, you will get better performance.
